The Alternative Giving CIO are pleased to invite Wolverhampton based charities, communities or organisations to apply for funding to help provide vital support to protect the city’s most vulnerable and homeless people.

Pressures on local organisations and charities that support people out of, or on the brink of homelessness are increasing especially due to the implications of the increased cost of living. The Alternative Giving CIO is keen to ensure that the organisations and charities that do amazing work to support our most vulnerable and homeless receive a slice of this extra funding that is available as a result of ongoing public donations.

Thanks to continued public generosity the Alternative Giving CIO receives most of its funds through the 16 donation points located in city centre businesses and also via its two ‘Tap to Donate’ points located close to the city centre’s bus station and at Wolverhampton train station.

The donation points aim to reduce street begging by providing an alternative way to give donations, 100% of these donations are then directed to existing organisations that work directly in wolverhampton to provide long term support for people in most need.

To apply to the Alternative Giving CIO please visit the website www.wolverhamptonchange.co.uk where you will find full details about the funding available along with the application form and funding criteria.

The Alternative Giving CIO was delighted to award funding grants totalling £17,000 to six Wolverhampton-based charities and organisations in May 2023 to help provide vital support to protect the city’s most vulnerable and homeless people

Since the charity launched in 2018 the charity has raised over £73,983 for Wolverhampton and supported local charities working with our most vulnerable community and people presenting as homeless in Wolverhampton
